Founder & Lead Author

Myra L. Dennis

Founder, Head Chef & Lead Recipe Developer

I’m Myra L. Dennis, a Nashville-based chef with over 15 years of professional culinary experience rooted in Southern cuisine and regional American cooking.

My love for food began in my grandmother’s kitchen in a small Tennessee town. Sunday dinners weren’t just meals — they were traditions built on scratch-made biscuits, slow-cooked greens, and recipes passed down through care and repetition. That foundation shaped my understanding of food as both nourishment and connection.

After high school, I trained in diners and family-owned restaurants throughout Tennessee before traveling across the United States to study regional flavors from New England seafood traditions to Tex-Mex depth and California’s farm-to-table sourcing philosophy.

I later opened my restaurant, Southern Roots, where I developed signature dishes blending classic comfort with modern refinement. Being named “Best Southern Chef” at a local food festival was an honor, but more meaningful was seeing how thoughtful food brings people together.

Why SnazzyFood Was Created

In 2025, I launched SnazzyFood to expand beyond restaurant walls. I saw too many people confused by wellness trends and restrictive diets. I wanted to build a platform where:

  • Mineral-rich ingredients are used practically

  • Weight-conscious meals feel satisfying

  • Gluten-free baking is reliable

  • Quick meals are structured and balanced

Every primary recipe begins in my kitchen. I oversee ingredient selection, flavor balance, and culinary testing before publication.
